The national large-scale photovoltaic base project is located in the desert area of Northwest China. This area has harsh environmental characteristics such as high temperature, strong ultraviolet rays, strong wind and sand, and large temperature difference between day and night, which puts forward extremely high requirements on the temperature resistance, aging resistance, wind and sand wear resistance of cables. The special photovoltaic cable customized and developed by Huada Cable for the project's needs adopts cross-linked polyethylene insulating material with a flame retardant rating of UL94 V-0, which can withstand temperatures up to 150℃, effectively resisting the damage of high summer temperatures to the cable; through special sheath formula optimization, the product has excellent UV aging resistance and salt spray corrosion resistance, and can operate stably in harsh outdoor environments for more than 25 years according to tests. At the same time, the cable uses low-smoke and halogen-free environmentally friendly materials, which do not release toxic gases in case of fire, meeting the core requirements of green development of new energy projects.
